4. How do I install my NeoGuardian product on another computer?
You can download and install your NeoGuardian product on other computers depending on the number of licenses you have purchased.
NeoGuardian software can be sold with multi-user licenses. To take advantage of your multi-user purchase, activate the product with the product key in your NeoGuardian account which has available devices.
If you are not sure if you can install on additional computers, log on to your NeoGuardian account and check under “Licenses”. This will show how many licenses have been used, and how many are available in total.
5. How does NeoGuardian work?
NeoGuardian works by watching the Internet communication between your Internet software and your Internet provider.
It does not modify any of the data between you and your Internet connection. In the case of the Internet Filter, it will redirect it only if it is to be filtered. For all other NeoGuardian modules, it merely listens and reports through the online modules, uploading from your computer the relevant data.
6. What operating systems does NeoGuardian run on?
NeoGuardian will run on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. An Internet connection is required.
Additionally, the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 package is required, and will be installed at the same time as NeoGuardian if you do not already have it.
The download size is approximately 48mb for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and 22mb for NeoGuardian.
7. Why is my Internet slow when using NeoGuardian
The NeoGuardian software periodically sends information to your NeoGuardian online account in small Internet packets. This should not affect your Internet connection.
If you find your Internet connection has degraded considerably, it may be due to frequent Screen Capture uploads which sends an image of your Windows desktop to your NeoGuardian online account. We recommend revisiting your NeoGuardian settings in your “Mission Control” and adjust the Screen Capture frequency accordingly.
8. Why is NeoGuardian sending me alerts for safe web sites/chats/etc.?
NeoGuardian detects key words that you want to monitor. Due to the English language quite often having words that mean multiple definitions, whilst we may know the meanings, NeoGuardian will always alert on that specific word.
Additionally, if you add a web site to the Internet Filter, NeoGuardian will always block it.
If you need to add or remove key words or web sites to be monitored, please visit the “Settings” page in your “Mission Control” to adjust to your requirements.
9. What is the difference between NeoGuardian @ Home and @ Work?
NeoGuardian offers two different versions of software: @ Home and @ Work.
@ Home is aimed at parents and families which contain Internet Filter, Internet Monitor, Chat Monitor, Email Monitor, Screen Capture, Keystroke Log, Program Schedule, System Monitor and Computer Tracking.
@ Work, whilst including the same modules as @ Home, adds the additional modules of Hardware and Software Auditing which allows companies to monitor and track their assets.
Auditing includes reporting to monitor the hardware and software installed in each device.
